Pillow Fort
ComplexCon
Long Beach, CA
2016

An environment for rest, relaxation, and socializing for the inaugural ComplexCon, Pillow Fort features three mountainous configurations made from over 1,200 pillows in a gradient of monochromatic greys and blacks.

Each structure offers unique seating arrangements, including a conversation pit and space for lounging. The intentionally loose construction of the installation invites visitors to change the form of the mounds by moving and stacking pillows to reshape and create their own unending series of configurations.
