Brooklyn, New York
Located on Flatbush Avenue, Snarkitecture's design for Kith’s 3,000-square-foot Brooklyn flagship invites visitors to enter the store through a series of experiences, beginning with an expansive glass storefront that houses Kith’s latest endeavor, Kith Treats-- a cereal and ice cream bar.
Following the herringbone Carrera flooring, visitors next enter the Archive, a rotating exhibition space, which will initially feature selections from Ronnie Fieg’s personal sneaker collection. The Archive’s flexible design allows for visiting brands to takeover the space and showcase products in the glass and stainless steel niches.
The visitor experience culminates in the central sales area, where an extended corridor is created using floor-to-ceiling, stainless steel and glass shoe displays. Visitors can move through the shoe displays and view the products arranged on the shelving along the perimeter walls.
Overhead is the main focal point of the store--a custom installation of 700 all white, cast replica Jordan II sneakers. The arrangement of the shoes creates a forced-perspective when one stands at either end of the store.
